The death of a 4-year-old prompted, yet again, discussions on the importance of car seats. In America, they already have a law that requires car seats for children. Those who are apprehended will pay fines and can have their licenses revoked.
However, in the Philippines, we are still without one. This is despite the fact that car ownership is steadily growing in the country and more children are getting vulnerable every second.
We need to push for a law requiring car seats for children. Let’s support HB 5595 and SB 1447 or the “Child Safety in Motor Vehicles Act of 2017.”
Moms and dads, let’s not wait for crashes to happen. It’s better to be safe than sorry. Let’s #BuckleUpKidsPH as we push for #SaferRoadsPH #ForTheKids!
